The certificate should be handed over to the Operations Manager. • The tellers must ensure that the cubicle door key as well as keys to the canister are in functional order before signing for the keys in the keys register. • The teller must physically count all the cash being taken over and be satisfied that all is in order before signing a certificate of take over which should be handed to the Operations Manager. An annotation to the effect that “all cash has been counted, found correct and taken over by me” should be annotated in the specification book and signed there against. • The teller must count in detail and verify all notes received from customers through the use of fake note detectors. • The teller must repeat the total cash on hand figures as specified in the Cash Specification Book in red ink and initial thereon as evidence of correctness.
