- • Reviewing transactions captured by accounts clerks to ensure that they are recorded accurately and in the correct accounts. • Reconciling all norminal ledger accounts to ensure that the are accurate and complete. • Maintain proper fixed asset register & ensure Assets are tagged and reconciled against physical record monthly. Processing interbranch, bank, creditors and debtor’s reconciliations. • Preparing tax remittances such Value Added Tax and Withholding Tax and ensure that they are uploaded on Tarms and paid on time. • Ensure compliance with the tax authority with respect to deadlines for statutory payments and adherence to regulation and perform monthly reconciliations for statutory payments to ensure that there are no debts to avoid penalties. • Preparing for audit and liaises with external auditors to ensure the audit goes well and provide all the necessary information required by the external auditors. • Attending to all audit queries, internal and external and ensured they are solved and cleared timeously to avoid recurring issues. • Prepare an accurate and complete Trial balance and audit Schedules for review and approval by the Finance Manager.
